KEVIN DUNHAM - SR VP INSTITUTIONAL DIVISION

In 1974, Kevin joined Conti Commodities, a division of Continental Grain, and specialized in institutional futures hedging in agricultural commodities. Continuing this path, his career has taken him to Smith Barney in 1985, Prudential Bache in 2000 and ABN AMRO in 2009, where he continued to develop and implement hedging programs utilizing futures and options in a wide range of markets. In conjunction with those programs he began to help in structuring lines of credit and bank financing for his client’s hedging accounts. In Dec 2012, Kevin moved to HighGround Trading Group with the intention of providing the same highly specialized service to his client base, while gaining the ability to introduce clients to a number of different clearing firms. Also, Kevin specializes in creating and executing complex option strategies and arbitraging between both the screen and pit.

ERIC MEYER - DAIRY DIVISION PRESIDENT

Eric Meyer brings over 12 years of experience as President of HighGround Trading’s Dairy Division. Eric’s hedging and procurement experience at both small boutique firms and large corporations gives him a unique insight into the dairy market. He oversaw the development of eDairy, the industry’s first online source for dairy market news and analysis and created educational dairy price risk management seminars nationwide. Eric educated, advised and executed hedging strategies internally at Sara Lee Corporation and Winona Foods as well as for dairy producers and processors at Downes-O’Neill and FCStone.

CHRISTIAN MORENO - TRADING CONSULTANT

Christian Moreno brings over 6 years of experience as a broker to HighGround Trading. Christian started in the futures industry on the floor of the Board of Trade in the Corn futures pit. After working in the pit, he worked on the European Desk at multinational FCM handling orders for Asian and European clients. Christian has worked with HighGround since its inception in 2009.

Christian assists several of his clients to diversify their portfolio by gaining exposure to the futures market. With a vast knowledge of managed futures and a passion for day trading, he prides himself as a true full service broker. Christian also makes a concerted effort in helping educate clients who are new to the futures market.

ANDY KOPALE – TRADING CONSULTANT

Andy Kopale brings over 12 years of industry experience to HighGround after graduating from with a Finance degree and a minor in Agriculture Economics from Southern Illinois University. After gaining his first industry experience as a runner on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade, Andy quickly advanced in his career and became the assistant manager of Iowa Grain's grain desk. As the industry shifted to predominantly electronic trading, Andy moved from working on the floor to working in the office. Since leaving the floor, Andy has continued to gain valuable experience working closely with a wide away of customers from across the country including large elevators, hedgers, and those looking to speculate in the markets. Andy is a firm believer in the use of proper risk management through various futures and options strategies. Andy is committed to integrity and always putting his customers' interests first.

MARC BEN RUBIN - SENIOR TRADING CONSULTANT

Marc Ben Rubin has 28 years of industry experience. Before coming to HighGround in 2010, Marc managed the order desk at several different trading firms. Ed Varin brings over 30 years of grain market experience to HighGround. Ed has expertise in wide variety of areas such as spreads, option strategies, in depth knowledge of the cash markets both domestic and export, and fundamental research that he is able to provide. Ed has worked for several different prominent grain trading companies in his career such as Cargill where he was a cash grain trader. Having worked in both Europe and Asia, Ed’s industry experience expands across the globe which has led to Ed’s valuable relationships with industry professionals from Europe, Asia, and South America.

SCOTTY CAPINEGRO - BRACH OFFICE MANAGER, SENIOR BROKER

Scotty brings a lifetime of experience to the industry. His roots trace back to his father’s clearing firm at the CBOT and CME where he started at the ground floor as a “runner” in 1966. After a 10 year education on the Trading Floor, Scotty became a member of the CME in 1976 and then a member of the CBOT 1977 to the present. He opened his own IB in 1992, handling both speculative and hedge accounts as well as managed futures accounts for interest clients. He brings half a century of experience in the grain and livestock industry.

ALYSSA BADGER - COMMERCIAL TRADING CONSULTANT

Alyssa started her career in 2008 at the Board of Trade managing a firm that had a primary focus in grains. The nucleus of her position centered around order entry and research development; from there, Alyssa's enthusiasm for commodities continued to grow and expand. This enthusiasm led her to move to West Texas and assist in hedging for the largest originator of U.S. cotton to textile mills worldwide. Chris Hess joined HighGround Trading in early 2013 and serves as an Account Manager for the Dairy Division. Raised on a farm in Michigan, Chris brings years of cash side experience to the business. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Saginaw Valley State University and is also a member at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange handling HighGround’s dairy spot and futures order flow on the trading floor.
